Why aren't people talking about this movie, "Moon Students"? This story isn't just about the pandemic, it's about class and race and how marginalized people are asking for their part of the American dialogue. That's real talk stuff. Aaaaand it's entertaining and well acted. In fact, the acting is so on point that I totally forgot that I was even watching actors at all, which is the goal. Kudos to Eddie Navarro and Sydney Carvill. I hope they get more juicy roles like these, This is inspiring work that people should see. Seriously, check this one out, you wont be sorry you did.

A real gem of a truly independent film. A story of the moment that reminds us, we all live under the same moon and hope begats kindness. Great performances by all the actors. Very cinematic scenes. The results of the pandemic and how it effected every member of our society is echoed through this film.

This movie, "Moon Students", has so much guts! It not only tries and succeeds in capturing the craziness of the pandemic, but it also tells the story of how the George Floyd tragedy galvanized young people and set them on a course to find their voices and make sure that they were no longer marginalized by mainstream culture. I can imagine that people might find this film challenging, but I found it wonderful and inspiring. They just don't make them like this anymore.

Through unique story telling and character narration I was continuously drawn in again and again. The abstract dialogue and intense character relationships was one of my favorite things about this movie.

A creative look at how humanity both came together and drifted apart during the COVID pandemic. Holland weaves an impactful narrative about how we can find community in unexpected people and places. Incredible performances by budding actors!
