Moving On

There's tonal problems, but overall I enjoyed it.

Moving On is a pleasurable enough way to kill an hour and a half without regret.

Tomlin brings out Fonda’s best, rounding out those brittle edges, as their characters continue to have wild adventures and evolve -- letting go and moving on -- long past their eligibility for Social Security.

Fonda and Tomlin have become one of our great comic teams, and even if "Moving On" isn't a classic, who knows how many more opportunities we'll have to see them pushing each other's buttons like the old pros they are?

Sharp wit and a tart delivery are well-honed tools in [Tomlin's] arsenal. Costar Jane Fonda makes a great sparring partner, the Jack Lemmon to Tomlin’s Walter Matthau.

Fonda and Tomlin are as good as they have ever been and “Moving On” proves itself a powerful rumination on the strength it takes to age—mentally, physically, and economically.

Though grounded in the appealing performances by Fonda and Tomlin, the slight film can become too sentimental and overbearing.

Neither terrible nor great, Moving On will mainly appeal to viewers who like seeing Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin work together on screen. This comedy/drama with a deadly revenge plot is really a harmless story about appreciating true friendships.

I give it a B for its fun nature and easy watch.

Lily Tomlin provides good comic relief and both she and Jane Fonda are terrific to watch. The film has some secrets to reveal, and everything is carried out in a clever and thoroughly believable manner.
