Totally predictable but all the better for it. The acting and direction is as exquisite as the dresses in the movie. Wonderfully comforting watch for a rainy Monday night.

Some movies attempt to make you feel good, and some… truly succeed. This was the latter.

A lovely old fashioned feel good movie with great characters and story. I’m sure I smiled through most of it. Made even better without the sex, violence or social commentary so prevalent in most movies today.

Every moment of this movie made me hold my breath and it was so refreshing to see so many wonderful, relatable characters brought to life by Lesley Manville, Alba Baptista and others. And of course, for the fans of Emily in Paris seeing Lucas Bravo is a special treat. One disappointment in a dream after another, Ada Harris makes us root for her with every step. And what happens to the precious, magical Dior gown in the end is a stroke of genius. The subtlety, creativity and the incredible empathy of this film is truly exceptional work. Thank you, Anthony Fabian, Carroll Cartwright, Keith Thompson, and Olivia Hetreed, and everyone else behind the creative team and the crew who have all been essential to the making of this real-life Cinderella story. Hands down, Best Picture.

Could have been charming but in the end it was just silly, boring and implausible. A middle age Cinderella (cleaning lady) who has been waiting 13 years for her husband to return from war, falls in the love the idea of a dress (instead of a prince); goes to Paris and saves the House of Dior from financial ruin, charms and sorts out the lives of all the pretentious snobs she meets, turns back into a cleaning lady but in the end gets her dress!

It is impossible not to find joy in this movie. So charming, great photography, a sharp script and enough unpredictability to keep you going to the end.

Looking for something for a rainy Sunday afternoon? This fits the bill neatly. Set in 1950's London, and then Paris, Mrs Harris takes her warmth and down-to-earthedness to Dior in her quest for the (expensive) dress of her dreams. Nothing untoward or shocking happens, making this a calming movie, high watchable, at times very, very funny and touching. Perhaps a tad overdone with the Londonisms she employs so we never forget Mrs Harris is not, say, from Madrid - especially when all the thoroughly French seamstresses appear to understand her every utterance - yet fear not, a super movie.

What a great movie! No violence, no guns--just pure entertainment. I loved the story, the acting, and the costumes. A pleasant movie that ends happily. Please make more movies like this one.

I found it hard to believe that both critics and audience scores for this film were so high. It was well acted but really oddly filmed - like a Mary Poppins film. Maybe that was the point? Saccharine.

I love how warm and comforting this movie is; it gives you a sense of melancholic happiness. It makes you believe in the goodness of people. I absolutely love it—definitely my comfort movie. 5/5.
