, 51% Audience Score- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsthis wasn't a comedy special as much as a vengeance fest. where were the laughs ?
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsthere is good reason why Netflix didn't want to offer her a special - she cornered them to give her one ny baiting them with the racist card. There is no content. She just keeps punctuating every sentence with mf, btch, n-word for no good cause. It doesn't escalate the humor, it doesn't illuminate any wit, it doesn't bridge familiarity, and it doesn't make her scenarios relatable. She is just a vulgar woman for the sake of being low. I watched 5min, fast forwarded, 5min, fast forwarded, 5 min and gave up. It's all crass with no class. Nothing close to Chapelle or hart. And that's exactly why they get the top dollars. They tell real jokes that make real people laugh out loud even days after they watched it.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsAnother autobiographical standup special that's more biography than standup. She's known for various controversies, yet declines the opportunity to address them with insight. It's getting to be too late to expect much reaction for "coming out". Be and love whoever you want.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThis was one of the worst comedy specials I've ever laid eyes on. Monique fell short of her Queens of Comedy crown during this comedy set. Their were some funny punch lines, but they were few and far between. Very disappointed, and had Zero replay value.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI have been a fan for years. I read some of the comments and understand I this day and time people do not appreciate the authenticity of one's art if it's not portrayed the way they want it. Someone said netflix was validated for their low balling, NEVER in any day or time should anyone to believe that a person should be humiliated. Millions to everyone but not EVEN a million to Monique is ridiculous bc if u think that small of her then why EVEN offer????? Anyone thought about that. The show was shocking in some segments bc I just didn't imagine. But me and my friends and then my family enjoyed it bc we are at the age to understand most of what she talking about either by experience or through being empathic watching others going through it and it always hits when someone is being authentic, relatable and funny. We laughed bc some of what she said brought up our own stories. I enjoyed it and yes it could be better but I would tell anyone to watch at least once, but I've watched if twice and my second time was with friends and I did seem to enjoy it more with them. She definitely deserved better by netflix and in flag she received it. I have seen specials by Chappelle that he's getting 20 million for and barely laughed and no one I complaining about them. And I actually watch him just not laugh hard Comedy to me but everyone has their own style. To the people talking about her foul language, I guess you didn't like Richard Pryor either or Eddie Murphy or Andrew dice Clay??? Really, get over it and yourself
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThis was bad! However I do give her credit for finessing Netflix out of more money, when she clearly couldn't produce. Way to stick it to them MO
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI loved every minute of this special. So raw, insightful, and honest. Monique is truly outstanding.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe epitome of comedic excellence!!!
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsI went into this thinking it would be a funny standup comedy special like her early days with The Queens of Comedy. It is definitely not that at all. This is more of her telling stories about her life. Not a whole lot of jokes here. I was disappointed, never laughed once, and lost interest towards the end. I would not recommend this and will not be watching again.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsIt wasn't funny. A lot of confessions and personal stories. A lot of anger. And a LOT of swearing, like excessive swearing. It's unfortunate when comedians think cuss words are jokes.
