I loved it! I've read some of the reviews and I don't see how critics were expecting her to just be up telling jokes, due to her already stating what the show would be about, she stated we would get to know more about her, and that right there told us she's going to have a story to tell, and I LOVED it, it was real and comical.

I watched this after I watched Mo'niques recent interview with Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay. I wasnt expecting much because I have never been a fan of her comedy, so I gave it a shot. Her storytelling lacked a genuine flow. It would seem she told stories as if she was making a larger overarching point but there was no punchline or point at the end. She would make mention of a small or big point then she would go off on a tangent that would be her next story but there was no resolution to the prior story or point she made. She started with her special education bit but it goes kind of unresolved then her mother's inability to read.. It seems cohesive but it was like a build up so a climax that never comes with each story. Also she is wildly articulate (as a saw from the club shay shay interview) but her comedy is so vulgar and crass which doesnt match the elegance she portrays with her hair and wardrobe. I forced myself to sit through the entire thing because I wanted to give it a chance but if I am being honest.. it was really bad. There were a couple chuckle worthy moments but I would never watch this again.

I was expecting something if not great at least good. She came up short of making this a good special. It's clear all the yrs she was not working she was not sharpening her craft😡Netflix was right.

It was more of her talking about how bad her family was and some other garbage. What got me the most is her joke about having a stinky vagina and how nobody told her about talking baths. Hell she was in her 40s. Everybody knows you are the 1st person who can smell your funk.

Mo'Nique's energy is PHENOMENAL in this special. Another amazing performance from the Queen of comedy. 💐

I loved it! It was pure. She was funny, then serious… watched more than once.

This stand up special is one of the best I've ever seen. She put her heart in to this 💗💗

I laughed so hard my face and stomach hurt half way through. Tbh I've never been a huge fan of her stand-up in the past, but here she was a total beast. I loved how she made fun of everyone but it didn't feel like she was punching down on anyone. The physical bit with the girl and the neck completely took me out. I'm kinda shocked by these reviews cuz IMO Mo'Nique absolutely murdered the stage and cemented her place as one of the greatest comediennes of her time with this comedy special.
