An intelligently made, appropriately unnerving film. Love to see indies like this with premises you wouldn't necessarily find in the mainstream. It feels novel and fresh, with excellent performances. Kudos to director Brian DiLorenzo. Recommend.

Just a very well-made independent film. Well written and directed with an excellent cast. The leads each pull you in, albeit in different ways. Intentionally unsettling, but also very griping. You might want to look away, but the movie will keep you turning back to gaze. It made me think a little of Kieslowski's classic, Camera Buff. Where the lines between art and life get so blurred, one easily stands in for another. A really fine film.

A wonderful take on being subservient to a professed Idol, thereby giving one's power away due to lack of self-awareness and of belief in oneself. Though a little slow at times, I liked the script and how the film cleverly plays out. Impressed with the lighting and direction. A big plus, the lead actors were very good, especially Justin Andrew Davis, playing Alex, who gives an impressive and nuanced performance.

This indie really surprised me. Compelling, creepy story with good acting and a director who was able to pull off the thrills and, believe it or not, the comedy. It's dark comedy, mind you, but it works. Plenty of great stuff here. Glad I took a chance on it.

I was blown away by this film! Even more blown away when I found out it was a directorial debut. This is truly masterful cinema- when we hear the phrase "this is why we go to the movies" it's usually in reference to a summer blockbuster or an Oscar-bait melodrama, but this kind of film is why I go to the movies. Weird, wonderful, surreal yet clearly influenced by the ultra-realism of Dogme95, with a highly skillful small cast, this film drags you in and begs you to be a participant rather than a spectator. The story is more layered than at first expected, so it definitely deserves a second viewing to get the whole experience. I got hints of Broken Flowers, Synecdoche New York, and Mandy; and the score was outstanding as well. I don't think I've encountered a more fitting soundtrack for a film since Harold and Maude. If you're a true film fan, or fan of any kind of art really, give it a chance. Can't wait to see what else the director has in store.

MYTH is a fantastic, fun thriller about a young man (Justin Andrew Davis) who meets his favorite director (Nicholas Tucci). The characters seem like someone you know or have met. The tone of the film reflects the eery, charming landscape of a secluded, suburban town. MYTH manages to deconstruct and question the ethics of using subjects in documentaries without their consent.

MYTH skillfully plays with genre and expectations to create an exciting film experience. A well-established yet ever-evolving tone, combined with a talented cast and purposeful direction, produces a memorable coming-of-age tale. Any fans of mystery, drama, and top-notch indie filmmaking will enjoy this compelling watch.

The film as a whole was produced very well. The story grasps the life of a lonely person, who strives to make his way through life in a fashion that works for himself. There are many turning points in the film where you wonder what exactly will come next and exactly what the outcome will be. As the filming plays out, each of the characters exhibit a variety of feelings on each of the situations that arise, which really helps the viewer understand that characters role in the film. The use of local area places was nice to see in the film. If at first you don't read the film description, the start of the film does leave you a bit confused about the characters parts. However, as the film progresses this gets much clearer. It is a film you must follow closely to really understand the connections of reality to brainstorming. The film puts in to perspective the real-life struggle of loneliness and ways a person might try to overcome those struggles. It is a film I would recommend watching when you want to see a real-life struggle unfold in front of your eyes.
