, 96% Audience Score- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsJust a lot of talking and annoying talking by Flannery, I didn't like this movie at all, I love Flannery and he's underrated but his character in this was hard to watch....for me. Way too much dialogue for one movie.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsVery Very well done. Amazing dialogue, great pace and timing. Wonderful acting and filming. You actually feel pity for the murderer at some points. It keeps you engaged and wanting to know what happens next with intensity. One could see how this could simply be a play on stage as it is cleverly done primarily in one room. My only hang-up is the last 30 seconds is just a miserable studio cut obviously and could have been better. It's a shame to put such a lazy period on a otherwise fantastically well written piece.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThe movie itself was well acted, but the overall plot was a veiled Christian proselytizing movie. The Glenn Beck cameo at the end solidified the Christian themed movie, under the cover of a horror movie.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsAs a Christian theologian who studies theology professionally, I found the movie surprisingly entertaining. It exceeded my expectations, which were quite low based on the quality of most Christian films. The plot and character development lacked depth, and I would have liked to see more complexity in these areas. However, as Christians, we don't need to overstate our capabilities; it's enough to demonstrate that we excel in our endeavors. The acting was better than typical for this genre, although it still fell short in some respects. Nevertheless, I rated the movie highly because it was genuinely enjoyable. The theological perspective was distinctly Catholic, and it lacked a clear Christian message by the end. However, I believe this was acceptable.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsI expected it to be a lot better based on the extremely high audience reviews.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis was a very powerful film. It has certainly made me rethink my relationship with the lord. This movie is proof that a good script and a couple devoted actors are worth more than 100 million in CGI.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsFrom a Christian perspective, and in light of other materials I've studied, I was impressed enough to Google whether it was based on a true story (it's not). I found it was insightful and powerful. Understand I enjoyed it was a well-made movie, but from a Christian worldview also found it thought-provoking.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsReally makes u think and deep too. Worthy of a watch. A must watch
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsPeople criticize this Movie too much out of Ignorance. Please read The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis to get a better grip on The Movie. People are judging the Movie without a grip about The background. It like Watching The Band of Brothers without knowing about World War Two.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsHe is a truly brilliant actor. I find the writer's description fascinating.
