Follow Me or some will know it as No Escape is not the greatest film. In fact other films before it with very similar premise have done it much better. In fact this film is so predictable that I knew how the ending was going to be 15 minutes into it. When you guess the ending at the very beginning of a movie that takes all the suspense/shock away. The acting is very hit and miss with this one, some performances are decent while others just bad. This film reminded me a lot of the Escape Room movies mixed in with a little bit of Hostel. I could not wait for this one to be over. This one gets a low 1 1/2 stars out of 5 from me.

This was a fun movie until the end. I fully expected it to end with the twist it did, but somehow… that ending was harder to watch than I had expected.

Yet another 'Escape Room' movie. However, the biggest problem is that they gave away the twist ending early on (spoiler) by saying. "Remember everything you see is not real". There is therefore no suspense as you realise that the last hour is an array of characters who are all pretending (apart from the main character who is not in on it).

Absolutely none of these characters are likeable in any way, that is evident very early, so we know that the more horrifying and gruesome their deaths are the better the movie will be. Almost 30 minutes of setting these characters up for the escape room is bound to lead to disappointment. Also, the main character has one of the most unlikeable faces I've ever seen on film. If you want a movie about helpless Americans tortured by foreign bad guys, skip this and re-watch any of the Hostel movies.

Slow start, good middle, rotten ending. Plays into stereotypes of blondes, gangsters and mobsters in cringe ways.

"No Escape" entertains the horror fans with deadly (escape room) puzzles and a twisted ending. It is basically an adaptation of a Saw movie to the era of social media.

"The Game" meets "Hostel" but with super annoying characters.
  • Rating: 2 out of 5 stars
Kind of boring for a large portion of it and the escape room didn't have very engaging challenges. Okay acting with some out-of-touch portrayals of modern-day influencers on social media that was dismissible to an extent. Somewhat predictable ending but was still a bit redeeming.

A horror movie that I actually didn't see the twist coming? Definatly a watch for me.
