Begins stylishly, but soon after the opening titles, the movie settles very comfortably into its mediocre premise and then stumbles through the motions until reaching its predictable and contrived conclusion.

Original plot idea and decent acting.

A very weird con. But kind of fun if you're willing to bring a bucketful of suspension of disbelief. Plot and motivation problems throughout but the overall effect is good., like the cast. The hardest problem to stomach is the gangster who thinks you can manifest $200,000 by yelling at people. Oh, and the con artist who worries more about the ethics of the con than the gangster who's threatening to kill them.

I wish ‘faith based’ movie will have its on section so I could stay away from watching it

Original and interesting plot combined with decent acting makes Playing God a really good movie. Who knew Alan Tudyk can pull off such a moving performance? I'm so used to seeing him in comedies or behind the scenes of animated movies I had no idea he was such a great actor. I hope he gets more roles like this one.

Thoroughly enjoyed this movie...the storyline was good and wasn't expecting the twist. The actors were all great especially Alan . Great for family viewing too.

This is a great movie and I have bought it to keep. The story itself is compelling with twists and it really depicts Houston, Texas as not seen before. Highly recommend for family. May be some strong mature situations, but overall it is wholesome and great. Would love to see a continuation of this story.

Great pace with some wildly original moments. Stellar cast and script that keeps you on your toes. McKeon shines as Frank and makes this an absolute must-see; my favorite role of his since Mr. Green in Clue, also a must-see. And as the first feature from a new production company, I can't wait to see where they go from here.

Completely entertaining film with a great twist at the end. The script was well written and the acting across the board was excellent. Good for date night or family movie night - highly recommended!!
