Amazing true story of strong community overcoming huge challenges related to the adoption of troubled children. It puts all of us to shame. As in many good causes now days you feel like we could do more, we are not helping as much as we should do. Good watch!

A superb portrayal of the challenges of fostering and adoption, along with the rewards as well. I highly recommend this film. 95 children come into care each day in the UK and Ireland. This film makes you wonder what can be done to change those lives for the better.

Wow! Just wow! This is a powerful story told with beautiful cinematics. No fancy or distracting CGI or unnecessary flashbacks or trickery. Just a heartfelt story told in such a way that you feel empathy and support for each character, every single one has depth and emotion, you feel the love of the foster parents, and the fear of the aopted children. My only wish was that there was more to how Donna managed to change the Reverend's mind on adoption, it seemed a little quick, I would have happily spent another 10-15 minutes in the cinema watching this as every single actor in the film was talented. I was captivated throughout. Even as someone who doesn't identify with religion I enjoyed this wholeheartedly, I'm shocked that many of the critic reviews (and their poor ratings) say this is only for people with faith, it is for people to see struggles, and how communities coming together and supporting makes a problem a lot easier to solve.

Easily the best movie I have seen all year. As a parent of children adopted from the foster system, this is the best depiction of the trials, tribulations, and triumphs of adopting that I have yet seen. Very hard but very rewarding. Excellent film, excellent cause!

What a kind and thought provoking movie! The characters reflect God's love for all of us. I hope it informs and softens your heart, like it did mine, about the plight of children in the foster care system.

I got the chance to watch the movie for free and decided to check this out. Not the first time the good people of Angel Studios worked to get the word out in their movies and I’m happy to do my part. Late 1990s. Possum Trot, Texas. Reverend WC Martin and his wife Donna are a happy couple with two children who are living a comfortable and beautiful home when Donna’s mother dies leaving a tragic mark on her psyche. It’s only when she goes out for a walk and realizes how much her mother raised so many that she wants to fill that emptiness that her grief fills her with love for the less fortunate. Donna seeks out Susan Ramsey, an overburdened social worker to help children from broken homes and wishes to find good people to raise them. Donna accepts wholeheartedly going as far to convince her husband and her entire Baptist parish. It’s a trying task to raise good children, but some are damaged terribly as Donna learns of another girl named Terri who is difficult to place, so Donna accepts her. Over time, trial, and most of all faith, Donna and the good people of Possum Trot provide for these broken children. This was a nice movie; it was very trying watching something like this knowing it was real. The acting is splendid, and the directing was also decent, but the message of the movie was wonderful.
