Princess Mononoke

The best animated movie of all time period.

I honestly think that this movie already gets so much praise, but needs even more. It’s visually stunning, and the storytelling is some of the best I’ve seen in studio Ghibli. The boars, the wolves also make the movie even better, I don’t why. 87/100

Poorly developed characters with bland motives. Character relationships are very skin deep and superficial. Doesn’t commit to its moral lesson.

This is possibly my favorite anime film of all time. Both Japanese and English voice acting is sublime, the art is incredible and the music score is top notch. I love the themes as well as the writing. I have been watching this monthly for about 15 or so years. I watched on release too. You’d really have to be a debbie downer to find something wrong with this film.

An epic. Take any opportunity you can to see it in theaters because it's one of Studio Ghibli's best movies. The art and the music really make it an experience.
