Ignore the homophobes, this documentary is very interesting. I’d say probably 4/5 but bc there are so many trumpers/christian nationalists bombing the ratings, I’ll go 5.

This mockumentary fails to explain why their Mother Nature gave beasts organs designed for reproductive sex but also gave non-complementary sexual desires. Why would nature give desires for one type of sex, but a body for another? Animals always do what comes naturally. This incudes when conflicting instincts cause them to engage in acts that are “solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short“ (Thomas Hobbes). Another point this production fails to address. Living according to nature would result in all kinds of human barbarism, and invoking animals in an attempt to justify anything is a vacuous enterprise.

A phenomenal film showing the complexity of nature and the myriad of relationships that scientists are actively exploring within species
