Railway Heroes

The film certainly looks nice, but the drama is overwrought. The Chinese people suffered greatly in a war and occupation initiated by Japan, but the Japanese soldiers are so unrelentingly evil and the Chinese fighters so overwhelmingly noble that they're just caricatures. This is the kind of war story you would find in a comic book.

Just a fun action movie with a bit of heart and emotion sprinkled in. Perfect Sunday afternoon movie to kick back and relax for a couple hours.

Entertaining, great actors/actress, great story .

Really enjoyed this movie. Great acting, film sets a great mood with costumes, setting, and cinematography. Not a ton of dialog, so subtitles weren't an issue and didn't take away from the movie. Only downside is it's a dark movie, so in some scenes it's tough to tell who is who with low lighting, hats, and collars pulled up for the winter weather.

Beautifully gritty. Great visuals, sound, and pacing. Cons: a dressed up bad guys Japan good guys China war story. Too too many camera cut aways made viewing uncomfortable.
