This film surprised me a lot, I liked the mixture of war and supernatural horror, they knew how to transmit fear and anguish. The story has captured my attention, it has good sound and VFX, 100% recommendable to watch with your friends.

This is not my typical genre but I’m glad I took the risk. It’s a creative take on not only PTSD, but what heals it. Is it a perfect film? Nah. But it’s got beautifully shot scenes, some really good acting, and a decent story. Thank you all who took time to put this together.

The film is very good in the visual aspect, they get an appropriate atmosphere in al of the situations, from the dop to sound, it's a great work and a very good film to be the first film of film forge. The bad rating is because the plot, the most important thing to me isn't interesant, I can't empathize with any character, if the plot isn't good, you don't care about how awesome are the VFX.

Overall just a popcorn movie. I don't know if I consider it good, but overall it was sort of enjoyable in some weird way 😀 👏

Overall it was an okay movie. Story wise the beginning was fast for me, I’d liked more build up. The meaning and concept behind the story is powerful, I feel like they wanted to cover a lot of important topics but somehow they didn’t focus in one thing and I felt lost sometimes. Talking about the technical side, I liked the photography and art production.

I really enjoyed the cinematic journey! The sound was absolutely captivating—great work from the Director of Photography; the visuals were stunning.

It will be a brand new day when get to see something more on the chill side from B2Y, which is not the case for ‘Refuge’, which leans more on the predictable-horror-I need something to watch on Halloween-esque narrative. Nonetheless to say, even if storywise it be quite not so innovative, the photography work is exquisite as well as the sound mixing. A good 6/10, a good something to watch on a random Thursday night for a avid horror fan.

Unexpectedly great movie! I thought it was going to be a zombie-type movie but it turned out to be more of a demonic possession movie with a heart. And not a bloody, pulsating-in-the-hand kind of heart, but real emotional heart. The sweet relationship between the leads, while at times cheesy, was just the right backdrop to give the metaphor within the movie an entertaining platform. Trauma leads to hate and that hate can eat us up inside and spread more hate and destruction if we let it. It’s a relevant message in a volatile world. This theme sits quietly in the background, though as the storyline is fast paced and gripping. Definitely worth watching!

A hidden gem of a horror film, and a unique twist on the zombie genre. Stumbled upon this film on Amazon, and it did not disappoint. Breakout performances from Jason Flemyng and Sophie Simnett. Highly recommend!
