Jeez, made it to about 42 minutes and jacked it in. Dull. Could have been good, but dragged on and didn't go anywhere. Acting fine. Production fine. Poorly executed story led to boredom. Not worth it tbh.

Even with a well-known and talented cast, this movie was not good. It's like it was supposed to be moody and suspenseful, but instead it was like they just turned the monitor brightness down and gave us water with terribly long fight scenes. And the love story wasn't believable.

🍅 6.3/10 It's wolverine in the water looking for his wifey through his memories I like the idea and it's executed pretty well. The set pieces are great in the mystery is fun. I sure will certainly say there's a lot of really goofy parts in this film that didn't need to be goofy. I mean it's kind of funny, but I would've rather had a more serious tone, because those goofy parts are just too goofy like there's a shootout sequence it's very corny and super goofy. That's all I can say, is just goofiness 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Grade B

Found this review on IMDB, which articulated the way I felt about this perfectly: good performances? Check. Good cinematography? Check. Creative visual effects? Check. Intriguing concept and interesting world? Check. A boring, generic corporate corruption plot? Check. Not knowing what the actual central conflict of the film is until about 90 minutes in? Check. Underdeveloped character relationships that cause you to not understand or care why our lead character is so hell-bent on doing the things he does? Check. Not including any plot or character elements that relate to the semi-apocalyptic setting of the movie, rendering it utterly pointless? Check.

Where to begin? There's the waste of this cast on such a terrible screenplay, the poorly directed action scenes, the voice-over narration as lazy world building and the design elements that lack any imagination. I'd say it was laughably bad but that would imply that there was fun to be had in viewing this interminable bore.

Loved the fresh take on the film noir. Beautifully shot! Rebecca Ferguson is so underrated. Didn't really need the flooded city but I can see what they were trying to do.

    Rebecca cannot save it

I lasted 42 minutes, and that was an effort. It's hollow, lacking in energy and any sense of urgency or drama, and that's a poor accolade for a Sci-Fi Thriller. HJ seems tired and lethargic. A poor execution of what could be an intriguing story

Sadly the story is missing something as one does not feel invested enough to feel as sentimental as the film wants you too. Its a shame as it has a great cast with interesting characters and an angle that could have been really interesting.

Like a pastiche of a pastiche, nothing feels real in this movie, even a few decent actors can't save scene after scene of cheesy clichéd dialogue, or the type of fight scenes where you can almost literally see the choreographer on screen giving the actors instructions. The movie and it seems its director are obsessed with weaving a complex sci-fi plot and some "cool" visuals and not even the least bit occupied with making anything feel natural, like what you're watching feels true in any way. Ferguson is a tremendous actor and Newton and Jackman are both very good too, but nothing about any of their relationships seemed remotely real or believable, and consequently the entire emotional premise of the movie sank down into the same CGI water that the film's version of Miami is covered with.
