I heard about the state of this movie a few years back and decided to give it a watch. I had to get my brother to watch this with me and it was worth it. The script and acting of this movie is shallow and soulless but damn was it not hilarious to watch. The director of this movie must of had some serious dirt of Keanu to get him to act in this diasterclass of a movie. It feels like a whole season of a terrible tv show packed into one.

Standby to initiate neural damage! This movie proves just how wooden an actor Keanu Reeves actually is. Astonishingly bad.

Awful. Bad acting. Bad story. Truly disappointing.

You have to suspend belief for quite a bit, but the latter half of the movie moves quickly and energetically and all ends up right in the end. Sort of.

Keanu just doesn't cut it in the movie. Disappointing acting in many places (and I have a lot of respect for him). The plot is promising but too many things can be questioned. Alice Eve was good on the other hand.

Will.i.am defies all natural order to bring a rather bleak prophecy of the future that attempts to shape it on modern interests of greed and power. Or it's just telling a story, who knows

I think this movie is good and I would watch it again and again. Why do you think Keanu willing to get involved in making this movie as well Alice and John? Rotten tomatoes should think twice before simply put a very low rating. You got to respect someone elses effort. And you should or did you not realized this movie touches one of the most controversial issue in this modern world erq? "What if?" In case you choose to ignore...

I thought the movie was great. Some people seem to feel the science didn't add up for them enough but it's sci-fi and doesn't have to add all the way up. While I questioned some plot choices through out, the movie continued to draw me in until I could not turn it off, then wanting a sequel at the end.

What a great movie with an interesting plot that raises real questions we will soon be facing. A scientist's great love for his family, his children and beautiful wife, whom he would do anything for. Breaking every rule, but for good (unlike the backers). Corruption, malfeasance and tyranny, evil killers, how could we have guessed that. Obviously the critics won't like it, exposure and raising real questions, and they're getting paid and have families at home. I can't tell if the bad audience reviews are because they are so ignorant of science they should have paid more attention in high school or because they're moles, I'd guess most the former. Great acting, great plot, great ending with a followup surprise. People really should learn what's going on in the world today like neuralink and even chatGPT transformers, although they didn't exist in 2019 they most certainly were in progress.
