I haven't seen this movie. I submitted my review for the horrid, horror film "Rock, Paper, Scissors (2017)." Maybe I should rent this comedy? OK, that's what I'll do.

Pre-teens may find it funny, but it was so painfully bad that I couldn't finish it. Low budget, bad acting, poorly written; a complete mess. Not anywhere near Superbad or other good movies this was compared to in other reviews. Are the good reviews real?

A new kid in a new school befriends other outcasts and unwittingly gets mixed up in the no holds barred, surprisingly spirited world of professional Rock Paper Scissors. It's expletive laced, at times gross, potty humor abundant, and strangely...heartfelt. There's no denying the base teen comedy side of the film but the directors explore the very real mindset of teens growing up in a still mostly unplugged type of 90s era. However, I find what's most interesting is not what comes out of the characters' mouths so much as what comes from their fragility, and how anchoring that to anything tangible (even something as ridiculous as Rock Paper Scissors) can give anyone a sense of purpose.

What a refreshing time warp back to the 90s style comedy. The film hits a very unique note similar to Napoleon Dynamite but where that film went for subtlety, these characters go for glory. The dialogue slices sharply and the plot moves like a freight train, never stopping, until the credits roll.

Great movie! Fun comedy that follows a group of guys that are trying to win the Rock Paper Scissors championship, along the way they get into all kinds of trouble, there is a scene where they have to go to an underground game of RPS and it gets intense, another funny scene involves an old corvette and a prank gone bad, has a big finale that was really good. Recommend for sure.

If Superbad was made on an Indie budget. Loved it.

Who would have thought Rock Paper Scissors could be so entertaining? Absolutely hilarious and my favorite student & teacher interaction of all time. "This is BS John!"

FRESH FUNNY THROWBACK 90s NOSTALGIA. Rock Paper Scissors is a gem of an indie-style 90s comedy and as many know these are hard to come by. I have to say it was a blast. Sharp, witty dialogue, fun characters & AMAZING SOUNDTRACK. It's a Dodgeball-esque underdog story wrapped in a Superbad raunch romp and I enjoyed every minute of it. The grander scenes are reduced by the budget but it didn't stop me from feeling the feels and caring for the heroes. RPS might be war but this film will soldier on.
