Could not take my eyes off the screen. This is a great film. Because you care about the people portrayed. There are no villains. Because this is Real Life which is happening to many now. It's happening to Rosie, the strong, loving, ever-hopeful, never-give-up mother, her steadfast husband and those poor kids. Trying and failing and ever trying again, and again to keep her family together to the bitter end. There's no happy ending here. Make no mistake. It could have happened to any one of us. We were lucky. They were not. Toss of a coin. Pray you stay lucky. Script by Roddy Doyle. I should have known it. This is a tragedy that Doyle could write and Shakespeare could not.

This is a bad boring movie. All i saw was the mother phoning for housing the entire movie and rain that never stopped. There is no emotion.

Sarah Greene stars as 'Rosie' in a perfect film. Understated, yet rugged, Roddy Doyle's screenplay was brilliantly brought to life by director Paddy Breathnach. It's an Irish flick (subtitles could still be needed) which details the stress on a mother and a father as they see their lives shift after their landlord decides to sell their place of residence. Unable to find a new place to live for themselves and their four kids, the story is a journey that takes place over a couple days. Greene is impressive. You feel like she feels. You root for her get the ship righted. There are some very uncomfortable things to ponder, but we don't progress without thinking. While I know this was a 2018 film (getting to it in May 2020), it is most certainly one of the best films I'll see all year. Final Score 10/10

worst movie I have ever seen. Repetitive lines would be an understatement , no real story, main characters story is so angering you wonder if people are actually the dumb. It was a mind numbing movie. I would rather stair a paint dry. or do nothing at all.

Even if it doesn't grab your attention the entire time, you'll be rooting for this all too common type of family to find solidarity in their lives, which says a lot about how effective a good film should be.

Perfectly acted. Since they are not your average homeless people, you can easily relate to this family, feel empathy for them and get sad. I loved their family bonds and how great they were to eachother.

The moving was a bore from start to finish. I never seen so many people walk out of a movie.

pretty bleak portrayal of this family's predicament, hard to also believe there was not more of a safety net for families in this situation in Ireland. Their situation was made worse by the mother's poor decisions regarding her children.

A family of six has no place to live. The householder wanna sell the place, and they can't afford it. Rose is the mother, she is with the four kids during daytime, phoning hotels and other shelters for places to stay at night. John Paul is the man of the "house" and he does bring in some cash. It seem hopless to find a place to stay permanently and there's a stuggle just to get a place for the night. A tough watch that reminds me a bit of "I, Daniel Blake" or other darker UK films. Realistic and well acted, and clocking in at just 80 minutes or so it never bore you. 7.5 out of 10 toothbrushes.
