Recomendable.

Such a great thriller. It keeps you on the corner of your seat, waiting to see what's to come. The end is totally what the story needed and it all builds towards it. Hghly recommended.

Did you see THE ACT, the 2019 Hulu mini-series based on a true story about the overprotective mother who went to unethical means to make sure her daughter would always be under her wing? Well, imagine a fictional take on that story by someone like Stephen King, and you'll have an idea what to expect from this effective if occasionally credibility-straining thriller. This is one of those movies where you sometimes have to throw logic to the wind and just enjoy the ride. Paulson is quickly becoming one of those rare actors whose mere presence in a movie elevates it to must-see status. And Allen, who often bears a striking resemblance to a young Kate Winslet, is an actress I'm anxious to see more from in the future. The movie creates an effectively claustrophobic environment - in fact I remarked during the movie that this could easily be turned into a play. And comparisons to MISERY will be inevitable. It's unable to avoid cliche at times and there moments you can see coming from a mile away. But overall I was drawn into the story, and it contains a nifty little epilogue at the end that is like a wink to the audience.
