- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe greatest 01 hour: and 51 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsA funny perception of the age gap in society.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsok, maybe some miscellaneous mistakes regarding character portrayal but otherwise a perfect entertaining comedy first, action second film, with great performance by Samuel L Jackson
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsPlenty of hilarious situations and bons mots in this reinstallment of a 1971/2000 original. Lots of guns and ass-whooping also since it is a crime fighting US film. Laughed a lot.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsI really liked the lighter tone when compared to the 2000 version and thought this was headed for a higher rating until it totally loses steam in the final third, causing me to check out too. I thought this was just another remake and didn't realize it was a continuation off the earlier film, which was much more straight forward and serious. I actually even laughed a few times during this and enjoyed the generational humor, which helped usher Shaft into this new social landscape. 5.5/10 Samuel L. Jackson Binge: Jackson got to drop a few more one liners this time around and definitely played a more cyinically comical Shaft two decades later. The fish out of water scenes with his socially conscious son added a chance for humor, absent in the first film. Above all though, Shaft is still one bad mother, and no one is better in that role than Sam Jackson. SLJ January #71
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsMUST SEE! Super fresh action movie. Had a lot of fun watching it. The plot is basic, but enough fun to get you invested to see how the relationship between them evolves and how they solve the case by working together.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis movie is fun as hell! It is refreshing to have a politically incorrect movie that relies on character development and comedy instead of a CGI fest. Awesome
