Shaft

As someone who loves the Shaft films, how could I not be excited that the series lives on! It had been a hot minute since the last film, and to see them back for more, FANTASTIC! I hate Remakes, so to know that they continued instead of remaking, that was an automatic win. Aside from a third film in the series being called Shaft, which to be fair could refer to it being a new Shaft, I am happy that they addressed the craziness which was the OG Shaft being Jackson's Shaft's uncle. The way they address it, perfection 👌🏻. I want more, and I realize that Richard Roundtree has now passed, but being they've passed the torch twice, it can and should work. I THINK the reason the film didn't do so well is due to the fact that there was ZERO promotion for this movie. I only found out this movie existed by sheer luck back when it came out.

Fun to see 3 generations of Shafts, especially Richard Roundtree, the original Shaft.

Some offensive quips and a rather outdated approach to action comedies hold it back from being a great watch, but it's not without its action-packed and rather funny merits.

I absolutely loved this addition to the Shaft series ❤️ Actually its my favorite! The father and son chemistry/relationship between SLJ and JTU, is lovable and hilarious, I definitely would love to see them do it again.

15 minutes into the film, nothing happened. Yawn. Skipped to next film.

A "pale" imitation of the original. No grit, weak action, sleepwalking actors. Skip this go to the original (4 stars).

The best! Absolute must see!

Forgettable sequel with enough for fans.
