She's Just a Shadow

Writer/director Adam Sherman's apparent disinterest in his characters' hang-ups is maybe best illustrated by his movie's aimless plot.

Whatever is going on here, I suspect only the writer and director, Adam Sherman, knows for sure.

This utterly tasteless crime film about Tokyo's top madam, a drug dealer, a serial killer is one of the worst films of the year.

She's Just a Shadow could have been a much better movie if the writer and director would have taken the time to actually write a plot.

Sherman piles on the gratuitous gore, nudity, drug consumption and reprehensible attitude towards women for the sake of it. Nihilistic and offensive, it leaves you with more than a sour taste.

Whether or not one is seduced by the sensual appeal of it all, it's impossible to deny that this is a cinematic masterpiece.
