Wow... That was something alright. Absolute trash, but I like that it embraces how bad it is at least... There is some cool make up designs in it, but that's pretty much all it has going for it.

"Skinned Deep" is the debut to Gabriel Bartalos, who is a very talented (gore) make up artist. He has worked on some horror classics through out his career. But for this, he doesn't come up with anything. There some scenes that are funny (Walrick Davis as Plates, the guy with a BIG brain imagines running naked in the Big city, and a Dude yelling: "Clay!!!") but it's all coming from the thief. He doesn't have one good/original idea, "Skinned Deep" is just the generic blatant Texas Chainsaw Massacre rip-off that doesn't attempt scares or thrills. Bottom Line: Terrible, Childish acting.

I'm telling you right now unless you're in to stuff that is really cheesy don't watch this. It's not really scary but it is fun to watch.Just put you're brain away and then you might enjoy this one. This one is a very low budget film there is no great special effects or anything like that but it is very funny. But I enjoyed this film and I just liked it for what it was a cheesy low budget b movie. So if you're in to stuff like Terror Toons or other things like that then you might like this.

The worst film I have ever seen. The acting is abysmal, the plot is ridiculous and the graphics are awful. Don't waste your life with this load of trash.

So there's a little story as to why I came to see this movie. My brother, cousins, and I are big fans of the movie Willow, which we watched numerous times when we were kids. It's a fun and outrageous fantasy movie that stars a midget (excuse me, little person). We could laugh at that movie for hours. (Yes, we're all going to hell for laughing at little people.) Anyway, while browing the movies at the video rental store, they saw that this horror flick starred Warwick Davis, the main actor from my aforementioned film. That alone warranted the rental. And so, onto my thoughts of Skinned Deep. Ok, I amend what I said about Ultraviolet in a previous post. This is the worst movie I've seen in awhile. To view this movie as anything other than a joke would be insane. What's even sadder is that the Behind The Scenes featurette makes it seem like the people involved actually took this movie seriously. First of all, the acting was so so very bad, it was laughable. Did they just pick up random people from the street to act in this movie? The only one who seemed to have any acting experience was Warwick Davis who played the character Plates, who stupidly enough, throws plates at people. I kid you not. As far as the plot, logic is just thrown out the window, making this "horror" movie so hilariously stupid, it's funny. There's just too much amusingly stupid stuff in this movie, I don't want to give it all away. If you want to know the rest, just ask. As a horror movie, it fails miserably, but as an unintentional horror parody, it'll have you laughing out loud.

I thought the cover looked bad ass and it had the Fangoria label attached to it, so you know I thought it would be a nice low budget gory film. Nope! I had to watch Warwick Davis throw scary kitchen plates (that he kept on his persons) as weapons. The cover of the dvd was the best part.

Wow this movie really sucks. This film was directored by Gabe Bartlos a classic gore effects artist that worked with masters such as Tobe Hooper,Frank hennenlotter and Stauart Gordon. You figure working with those guess could mean he could make a good movie. This is not oringal and real bad. Don't watch this see the review by Phelous instead

This is one of the few movies that I absolutely had to own as it has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. As a Blockbuster employee at the time of it's release,I could only tell our Patrons that this POS was so bad that the Steam was still rising off it. I watch it regularly to this day....Fabulously terrible.
