Slingshot

This is a very small film propelled by the performances of its actors. Sci-fi films will appreciate this. A theater trip is a lot to ask for all but the most adventurous of film fans so it won't be a bit money maker but it is well worth a rental and certainly worth the time once on streaming.

Great movie and excellent performances by all!

A dull slog with a reveal that's telegraphed a mile away. Dispite a strong cast, the characters just aren't engaging. You're never invested in the joyless romance, and the crew interaction is perfunctory. Spoiler alert. As we get to the end of the flick, and the climactic twist, Casey is informed he's in a simulation flight, the "capsule" is underground and rescue attempts are delayed due to an earthquake. Once you ask yourself; Hey if it's a simulation, why is he underground? The answer kills the "shock" ending.

Not the worst movie this year, but in the top 10 for sure. Stream it, so u can turn it off after 15min.

I'm a sucker for sci-fi spaceship movies. Even tho there wasn't much spaceship in this one, as almost all of it was inside the interior of the spacecraft, which was space-agey enough. About 2 of the 3 man crew going nuts due to long space-voyage. LAWRENCE FISHBURNE, stole the show as the cap'n. Ben Affleck's younger brother needed a charisma transplant in this one. Saw it when it opened, summer 2024, at 'lertn AMC.

I was so happy that I saw this in theatres and that is was great! Makes me want to start going to movies again instead of streaming. Was on the edge of my seat for most of it. Had good comic relief (in a real way not campy) which helped relieve the tension here and there. Excellent performances. I don’t say this often but I will see it again.

This movie is amazing! Worth the slow pacing. Cult classic. Hidden gem.

I liked the movie I’m still a little confused by the ending but what is happening in the movie I kept second guessing if that what was really happening it definitely messed with my mind glad I saw it

I found it largely pointless because you spend all this time getting to know the characters and it does even matter at the end of the movie
