, 67% Audience Score- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsThere's something about a movie that keeps you guessing. this movie does that.. almost too much. I enjoyed it but eventually felt like I never could accept the end as "reality"
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsActing is good but the writing and story telling is dreadful. The only woman in the cast is a sex worker. I cannot believe money was spent to make this.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsI pity the fool who watches this movie without a fast forward button. The acting is real good, so are the effects and production quality. The screenplay needed a re-write. It's not real exciting and some of the sci-fi drama is laughable. For Example, watching Afleck try to line up Saturn using a joystick DURING THE COUNTDOWN and then start the engiines one by one felt like something that would obviously never happen. Also, flashback after flashback after flashback was so lame. My advice, watch the first 3 or 4 flashbacks, then fast forward through the flashbacks and watch the sci-fi. Finally, once you've reached the 60 minute mark, do what I did and skip to the final 5 minutes. The ending is pretty great.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsvery intense right from the beginning, for no reason. they send a group of idiots into space. How did they not weed out the unhinged psycho. Plus and unrelenting misuse of flashbacks.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsNot good. The psych thriller aspect isn't properly developed. The acting is OK, Lawrence Fishburn does his tough guy thing, Casey Affleck is OK, but not that believable. Everyone else is useless. There is SO much wrong with this in terms of scifi world building it's sad. Do yourself a favour - give this one a skip.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsTrash "psychological thriller" wrapped in a "SciFi" package to trick people. Utterly trash writing, waste of two great actors
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI felt this film had a good story and a nice twist . Casey Affleck & Laurence Fishburne were good in this .
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsCasey Affleck seemed to be in a permanent state of exhaustion and boredom.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI really enjoyed the movie and find the negative reviews about the ending interesting. I think some critics may be missing the point, as the ending actually reinforces the psychological effects of spending years in space on the human mind.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsVery good movie The ending left me wondering what happened to John. What was real and was not. Loved the actors. Especially Casy
