A Disney-channel copy version of the far superior movie It Follows. Nice ideas and concepts, but in the end wasted potential on cheap jumpscares and the most predictable plot. The main two cast members did a great job though, even with the script and directing provided.

A film that had everything to work out, but the ending was literally a failure.

Good scares along with what I thought was a nice storyline. The main actress is playing very well. The smiles are terrifyingly delicious. One downside in my opinion: although limited, the gore aspect towards the end kind of breaks the style of the movie. I wished it would have stick with abnoxious and supernatural fear rather than explicit one.

I was very skeptical that Smile would be any good and after having just finished it I can honestly say that I was Impressed. Hints of It Follows and Malignant, but with a fresh take on it. It was nice to see the story take place in NJ which is where I'm from, so that nostalgic feeling was cool. Quite the scares and usually that stuff doesn't phase me, but it was implemented superbly. The cast did a great job for sure. The story was cool and I loved the ending. No spoilers! I feel that it's this generation's Sinister. Either watch it in theaters or rent it and you won't be disappointed. Promise! Update: I just rewatched Smile after a year and a half and originally I gave it an 8, but I'm switching it to a 10 since it's truly a Masterpiece IMO. I'm super excited for the sequel coming later this year!

Pretty good movie. The psychological aspect in this movie was incredible, the horror did lack a little bit tho. At some points I found that movie a little bit boring, maybe because im not a huge fan of psychological stuff. Still, for people who enjoy psychological horror movies, this is for you!

Interesting and suspenseful, but the ending both cheapened the rest of the movie and left me asking, "really? that's it?" Would have easily been 4 stars if the final act was written well.

Kinda okay. Made a good evening watching it. Could be a bit faster overall.

The acting was superb in this film. And the premise and execution was perfect. Must watch horror.
