Sometime Other Than Now

A frustrating watch -- it keeps teetering on the brink of almost being good but never quite makes it.

Slow, easygoing movie about adult love. Solid cast is a plus.

Some of the plotting is choppy, but the performances are consistently engaging, and the town is a pleasant place to spend a little time.

Mature family drama has partial nudity, swearing.

A standard romantic drama that is perfectly fine for a Sunday afternoon at home, but it could've been so much more.

Besides wonderfully natural and lifelike performances, the film has a good deal of authentic heart.

As much as I like the cast and the laid back setting, writer-director Dylan McCormick finds little to do with either.
