The absolute worst movie I have ever seen. Seeing the rotten tomatoes score makes the website lose all credibility.

The relationship between sweethearts Mara and Dylan and how they react to their high school world falling apart around them forms the core of this dark comedy-horror film. Katherine Langford has 90% of the funny lines and the actress' timing and delivery are perfect, but many viewers may find her snippiness to be more annoying than endearing. Charlie Plummer is a dead ringer for the oldest brother from the pop group Hanson. Once a few of the students die, it actually becomes supenseful because you wonder who will be affected next. But I anticipated what would eventually happen and the change in this movie's tone that would occur. In real life, the vast majority of people would go insane knowing that, at any second, they might violently explode and it is not quite as simple as "que sera sera." If a scientific explanation as to the reason for the sudden deaths is given , I must have missed that part.

Considering the medical profession we have totally hijacked and controlled by private interests through big pharma, the movie was hypocrite, pathetic and disgusting, as the "judgement" of critics, such as rotten tomatoes, where the indeed rotten critics scored 96 against an audience of 67, still ways too high if you ask me. American movies are indeed declining miserably, and rightly so given their pathetic and constant intrusions of political propaganda that destroy every artistic and creative aspect it might have had, just like the matrix, that had all the numbers to became the greatest shi-fi movie ever, settling instead as the greatest miss. Spontaneous is nothing like the matrix, but that's it's true gender: great miss.

Gets too dumb too quick

I thought this would be a fun but light weight affair. I was only half right. It's fun but this is a really great film, equal parts romantic and gore filled.

So needlessly underrated.

I didn't expect this movie to be actually taking it's subject matter this seriously and executing it so well. I'd say the only major drawback for this film is it's weirdly done marketing. The posters are lame, trailers are misleading and the cast is pretty much okay. In conclusion, I'd say don't judge the film by its first impression and do check it out.

What a weird movie :D Well, its certainly not boring, its definitely unique and that's what makes it good to me. Shockingly funny even at times.

Only an hour in did it hit me this was a commentary on America's gun violence, told through the POV of high-school survivors. This is no comedy, but a heartfelt satire. Bloody brilliant. Poor kids!

I don't usually like high school movies but this was pretty good. I hated the twist (that cost it a star) but still good.
