Survive the Night

Watching Willis in Survive the Night, you'd think he was already dead.

A particularly forgettable example of a tired sub-genre that, like so many of Willis' recent efforts, squanders his still estimable movie-star charisma.

A flabby hunk of meat that the director, Matt Eskandari, hasn't bothered to season.

As far as disposable thrillers go, this one sits somewhere in the middle of the room. It's a capable distraction.

A thriller that’s so unsure that the majority of the film is spent in daylight.

It's like a thriller made by people who have never actually seen a thriller and who based this one on stuff their friends told them about Panic Room and Funny Games.

This hostage thriller has a slickly violent sheen to it, but is essentially a substandard B-movie.

Pacing is a problem here as this attempt at a home invasion/hostage thriller takes an eternal amount of time getting going.

It proves to be an extremely challenging experience to survive this empty slog of nothingness for us viewers. Just don't bother with this one.

The dialogue is as dull as an Ikea pencil, often to the point of being unintentionally hilarious.
