Aesthetically it was a very pretty movie and the physical horror was great.

What an awful, awful film. Too long, too boring, and when it finally decided to go off the rails in the third act, the special effects were laughably bad.

Confusing, too long, lack of story, tries hard to be "arty", didn't really like it but wasn't that bad to put it off.

Possibly the worst remake ever (except maybe for Psycho?). Why would anyone bother to remake one of the best horror movies ever made. I tried to watch this but turned it off after a while, just terrible...

The atmosphere of this movie manages to be gritty and brooding but very in your face and unfiltered at the same time. The sets, costumes, lighting - all stay close to the original but the changes and twists to the plot are well executed and much welcome.

Bares only a slight resemblance to the original, but that's because Guadagnino found more things to explore, specifically how national guilt manifests itself in individuals.. A little overlong perhaps, but by the time that truly bonkers finale roles around I found myself invested in the madness of it all.

It's not better than the classic but it's still good, I'd say everything (almost everything) in it is well done, but there were things missing, I think this film just relies on discomfort which works very well, but the plot doesn't know where to go with the scary scenes, I give Suspiria a 7/10.

it's not as frightening as the 1977 original but it is way more grisly and gory there's a huge vibe of feminism too in the supernatural storytelling of dance and witchcraft a lot of unknowns minus Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton and Chloe Moretz like the previous version an American girl aspiring to perform goes to a respected dance academy to learn from the best unaware that it's actually home to a coven of powerful witches few know the truth that lies underneath the establishment and this movie actually does take place in Berlin in the 70's during the whole RAF plane hijackings following the 2nd world war, that puts a lot of its citizens on edge one psychiatrist starts to catch onto the dance school's mysterious happenings yet the closer he gets the stronger its influence becomes the main girl Suzie is almost drawn to it but will she succumb to its seductive power? the film is too long and isn't for everyone but the performances are skyrocketing, not to mention the freaky, bizarre dance choreography and how it physically affects its victims with the way bodies are contorted plus it tackles lots of modern ideas with women being in charge of something in their hearts and minds where men had so many restrictions for them dancing is like sex, everyone assumes the worst is over, does love and manipulation share more than we let on?, when a woman tells the truth you don't make them feel guilty or pity them there's even a cool cameo by the original actress near the end the finale is where hell literally breaks loose with a big twist as well! the original movie is scarier but this one does its job in its own right

Esthetically, very good. But the original Argento film let me kind of dissapointed. This remake didn't do much better to me.
