Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem
audience Reviews
, 90% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsTurtles have a place for kids from the previous century because they were funny, cool and tough but this feature rocked even harder, making it impossible to not love them even more. Serious animated slasher.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsLook I loved the tmnt movie that was released before this one "Rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles" So I do not lack taste and I appreciate the effort put into making this particular one funny but it was exaggerated, you don't take a beloved image and ridicule it and expect the audience to be totally okay with it. For example, if I was to make a sorry excuse for a cartoon and then claim it was made by nickelodeon, would they like that? Same way we don't appreciate you ruining an image we have come to love only because you want to break into the comedy scene some more. Story was took a different turn, I dislike Donny's voice, I dislike April being black and fat, what's that aimed at? Girl plus size power? Oh please... In summary, this is a very childish animation, they must've paid a butt load to bribe their way through ratings everywhere.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsS'ok. Ice Cube as Superfly stole the show. A lot of changes to the original story that were un-needed. Tired of reboots of reboots, can you just tell a story without re-explaining everything for the 20th time. Other than that it was ok but nothing to brag about. Funny how the first film had dudes dancing around in rubber suites and its still better than anything since.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsWhen first watching this movie I knew straight away that it was up there with the secret of the ooze and TMNT being one of the best of the movies in a while. At the beginning of the film it was clear that it was done in the same way as the spider-verse movies but with more of a ruffled texture like a child's drawing. However, this seemed to me that it was done to create the idea that it was done because we are seeing this through the eyes of the turtles. Leading to my next point that in this the turtles did seem to act more like teens, rather than them being more darker and serious. Unlike the michael bay turtles were more serious. Also, from the start it is clear that splinter is more of a farther figure than a sensei, and in my opinion i think is better as it is what the turtles need more. However, the problem i have is that splinter didn't know how to fight from the beginning and instead he learnt from tv however, over all the movie was fun to watch and i can see my self watching it loads more times
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsMajor disappointment. Movie is filled with inappropriate material aimed at kids, many curse words, turtles twerking, focus shot on Bebop's nipple rings (which were never part of the comics or older shows). Blatent disrespect for master Splinter. and what the heck was up with Master Splinter macking with that freakish cockroach mutant.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsA bad movie through and through not sure why this is so highly rated, perhaps paramount is paying off reviewers but this movie just sucks.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsNot respectful to the source material. Almost every single redesign barring Leonardo is objectively worse. Seth Rogen is a garbage Bebop. This is some one elses fanfiction. There is nothing connecting me to this incarnation other than the name. It doesn't matter how beautiful and good the story is if I can't see the character's who they are. The Turtles are disrespectful to Master Splinter which to my ire is a no go. Splinter shouldn't be used as a joke. Everything is just a discount version of previous incarnations. While the IDW comics goes out of it's way to pay homage to previous incarnations, this one defaces it. Again this is some ones fanfiction riding off the TMNT brand again. 2014 and 2018 travesty over again. Just read the Original Mirage Comics or the current IDW mainline series. That is where peak TMNT resides. Not this putrid garbage.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat movie my family and loved so much!! Can't wait for the next!!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe best redo of the series to date! Michael Bay unfortunately failed at making this story come to life with his version of the franchise…but this, this was done right!
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThe turtles are bumbling idiots. Splinter is a biased, old, grouch who learned martial arts from infomercials. April is…I'm not touching April because we all just expect these type of nonsensical rewrites now. I can't believe it reviewed as well as it did and is a success with its moderate earnings. Super low budget worked I suppose, but it should have grossed way more on name alone. It seams if you double down on super "progressive" scripts you get a 90% or better critic review regardless of garbage material…Now, the animation wasn't my favorite but I could have dealt with it if the story was better. This movie catered to the lowest common denominator.
