Almost like looking at a blank screen for 90 minutes. After reading all the positive reviews, I now understand most movie critics view the world through a different lens than I do. And they are mistaken.

If you found this wonderful movie boring you probably think Vin Diesel movies are masterworks of film making. Also you have possibly seen every slasher, kung fu, and zombie movie ever made. Check your brains at the snack counter and enjoy your blockbusters, heaven forbid you would have to actually think about what you are watching. Please watch Zone of Interest and tell us what you think.

Less is sometimes exactly that. This is minimalistic story telling to the point of almost nothingnes

When does the thrilling part happen. The only suspenseful part is waiting for something to happen....which never happens. This was the biggest waste of 1 hour and 27 minutes I have ever spent. It was like we actually lived her entire 15 hour day. Sooo boaring. DO NOT WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME ON THIS PATHETIC MOVIE.

I am 45 minutes into this movie and nothing has happened. The only thing I can say for sure is the first 45 minutes of the movie could have been cut, and replaced with a narrator saying 1 or 2 sentences max.

The HR scene was great but this movie was really bad. It tried replacing acts 2 and 3 with b roll of daily office work. Amazing cast, great premise, but recklessly mundane.

Boring, tedious, day in the life of an assistant. Not for entertainment purposes.

Boring boring boring. It fails to capture the viewer from the very first second of the movie and it fails through to the end. I watched only because I had nothing else to do at the time (insomnia). Julia Garner does the best she can with this script but it just isn't enough. The best part of the movie is when "The End" came into view.

Have you ever waited for a movie to evolve into something. That point of intrigue that encapsulates the whole reason you pushed play. Yea, that never happens here. I've seen words from "Top Critics" describe this movie as "Tense", "Powerful", "Chilling", and even "Stealth Bomber". None of these words should have been used. In fact, to the critics who used these adjectives, shame on you. Is it the worst film ever? Well…no. Julia Garner will always showcase her talent. But the onus should not be on the actor to carry a film. It's just lazy. Lazy writing and lazy storytelling. At least in the full length feature genre. This would have fit nicely in a Short Film section, but I digress. Now don't get me wrong, there are movies (full length features) where the actor have carried a movie. It was the intention by way of the story and how it was told and presented. But for those to work they have to be crafted by someone who knows what they're doing. The build up has to be just right. The story has to have a peak. Pacing comes to mind as well. And of course the ending must be the cherry. None of that is here. As John Malkovich once said playing the character Teddy KGB in the movie Rounders, "I feel...so...unsatisfied". Erase the idea of this being a #MeToo movement film…it's not. Erase the idea that this is a special art piece film that only the intelligent will get…it's not. To be disappointed is an understatement. I wanted to be ‘Wowed' and I wanted to love this film. All the right necessities were there for it to work. Then again maybe the flaw is the Director/Writer, which honestly from their work, I'm not impressed but also not surprised. I will put forward some positives: If you're a Julia Garner fan than maybe you forgive the nothingness that surrounds her. A great actor will always perform and she does all that she can to Assist in The Assistant.

That was literally possibly the worst movie I have ever seen. What a waste of a great actress. She was so good in Ozark. She was good in this too, it was just the most boring film ever written…and I like boring films…no scenery, no music, minimal plot, no twist, no turn…actors did well…they didn't have much to work with. Sorry for the negativity, I try to stay positive in general. Have a good day…doing something other than watching this. 😁❤️
