This movie was just what I needed when I had nearly all but given up on the cinema. It is hilarious and relaxing. Colin Farell and Brendan Gleeson are both hysterical and play their roles to perfection. This has been a kick-ass year for films, along with “The Menu” and “Triangle of Sadness.” Highest recommendations.

Great scenery, great acting, very atmospheric. However, the ending left me flummoxed.

I just didn’t get it though why was this guy so stuck on maintaining the friendship even after the other guy said it was over and already cut off one finger! Good acting but kinda bizarre

Dark, strange, yet unexpectedly entertaining. Set in 1923 Ireland, this film follows Padraic (Colin Farrell) as his best friend takes drastic measures to end their friendship. With dark humor, and endearing characters, the film tackles the subject of discovering what matters most in life and making the most of the time we have. I would say more, but the “drastic measures” are so over the top, any mention of them would spoil the film. This one gets a high recommendation from me to anyone whose sense of humor is as twisted as mine.

Beautiful landscape shots; unfortunate that this and the acting talent was wasted on such a piece of senseless, plotless, and non-believable garbage. A complete waste of time.

It’s not that I hated it, the acting is good and the scenery is amazing, but it is such a long, slow, boring film ! 2 stars for the 2 jokes that did make me laugh, but there’s not much more to like about this.

    Written very well. Definitely recommend.

The acting, writing, and story in this film was exceptional. The filmmaker really captured the pain and frustration with ending a long and disappointing friendship.

A fantastic movie that has plenty of thought-provoking messages to share, "The Banshees of Inisherin" manages to deliver a well-rounded and impactful film that stands as one of the best of the year.

Depressing and pessimistic as well uncomfortably irrational but brutally honest regarding to being socially thought-provoking across its layered theming, Martin McDonough seems to expansively refine his scope through the quietly strained powerhouses amid the respectfully adjacent scenery. (B)
