Two college kids head to a beach house for sex and drugs but find it occupied by two old fogies who, thankfully, are up for the latter. What's that on the beach? I enjoyed the idea of this film more than the execution. Liberato plays a character that is studying astrobiology but is unable to deliver her lines as convincingly knowledgeable of the subject. I loved that the characters have somewhat of an excuse for making mistakes as they are on drugs. Some nice set pieces but jump scare fans will be disappointed until the end. It has an ethereal vibe once the drugs hit. One of those films I enjoyed but wished I could've enjoyed more.

This movie is boring with an even more boring ending! The continuity, the scenes, camera angles, and soundtrack and more for this movie truly is disappointing. This movie had the possibility to be great, and did not live up the the rotten tomatoes score from the critics! The "apocalyptic" event that this movie tried to show was not well thought of and completely embarrassing. Please don't waste your time!!!

Anticipation for the end to answer all of your questions just to be more confused and unfulfilled.

Come creepy moments but at this point in my life, I need a little hope at the end of my movies…

Starting slowly, the film manages to shift and plunge into a strange, hostile, even apocalyptic atmosphere (with a certain resemblance to the atmosphere of Carpenter's Fog), and to put us in the place of those who seek to survive.

A romantic getaway turns into a fight for survival when a young couple discovers a micro-organism infection in the beach. "The Beach House" portraits the body horror subgenre and it includes elements of Lovecraftian cosmic horror. The escalating paranoia due to the fear of disease is unnerving and infectious!

Horrible, horrible movie. 2 young adults crawling around and throwing up everywhere because of mysterious gas and some bad oysters and we never get the source of how this happened. Absolute waste of time.

Very engaging set-up with naturalistic performances but unfortunately the last act sees the film seemingly run out of ideas with a pondering narrative that seemed to be counting the clock until end credits. Worth the watch despite the ending.
