The bike riders is a quaint film that likes to take an easy pace to just let the characters ride and hangout. The film has heart and seeing this racing club transform to what it becomes is interesting. However the film is unable to take you on the visceral ride. All the performances are well done but meaningful relationships or sequences are lacking. Although you might be able to enjoy the ride for what it is. Bike riders feels more like a straight ride at highway speeds, rather than going at max rpm through curvy forest roads.

A well crafted film about something not a lot of people care about. You find yourself suddenly wanting your own motorcycle and to find people to ride with (if you didn't already). Surprisingly really enjoyed this film!!! CONTINUE READING ON LETTERBOXD: https://boxd.it/8FwyFz

The Bikeriders is a solid drama based on a true story. Very solid performances from Jodie Comer, Tom Hardy and Austin Butler plus a host of talented supporting actors help drive this compelling story. Obviously some found the pacing slow, but it is a drama after all, and one thing you need when watching a drama is patience. Highly recommend to anyone who likes a well-acted, gritty drama.

A very different film than the usual stuff that get made nowadays. A sober and slower paced movie which gives an insight into a world/culture I have always found fascinating as a Brit. The style reminds me a little of The Shawshank Redemption with a narrative leading you through the film. Not one for the adrenaline junkies but all the better for it in my opinion. The actors all had me convinced they were the characters they were playing and deserve recognition for keeping it all believable.

What a disappointment this turned out to be. It's basically Jodie comer chatting absolute garbage for 2hrs whilst smoking an infinite amount of cigarettes I wouldn't recommend.

This movie did not seem to have a defined plot or arc. There were several things that were introduced that were never developed or reconciled (Benny is referenced to always fall off his bike in the opening scene, but he never crashes throughout the movie). The acting was decent, although the Chicago accents were a little much at times. The character of the photographer/journalist was barely developed. Hells Angels had a more defined and interesting story, and would probably make a better movie.

I didn't go to see this film when it was in theatres and I'm kicking myself that I didn't because I absolutely loved it. Definitely recommend it!
