A rather underwhelming Conjuring sequel but a decent horror movie taken on its own merits, The Devil Made Me Do It suffers from weaker storytelling and a noticeable departure from the more grounded tone of its direct predecessors in favour of a film with more overt supernatural elements and gore as well as a human villain with rather weak, excessively vague motivations. Basically, the "based on a true story" nonsense that's the selling point of this franchise's mainline entries is arguably more blatant here than in the James Wan films. Nevertheless, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga still deliver good performances, there are a couple of genuinely intense/thrilling moments, it's shot well and I admire that the film was trying to be different by being more of a mystery/procedural. It's certainly better than the director's boring last entry in this franchise, the non-canon Curse of La Llorona but this is certainly no Exorcism of Emily Rose. Heck, you'd probably find one of those X-Files episodes dealing with a religious MOTW that has Mulder and Scully swapping roles to be more compelling than what this film had to offer. But all in all, I do think this is one of the better films in the franchise since Annabelle: Creation, even if it is forgettable.

Conjuring the Devil made me do it. This is a bad 3 movie. I'm afraid this trilogy did not pass the exam for a good 3 film, but the plot itself is not bad, the twist with the witch is crinkly and all the screamers do not scare, but they do not make you laugh. Should I go to the cinema? I don't think so. Is it fresh? No

It's not a bad movie and has those disturbing moments we've come to expect from The Conjuring movies. Movie was not what I expected but it was still a fine horror movie. The twist was also decent but typical

Legal! Recomendo assistir esse filme e todos os outros filmes que antecedem este. Além disso, recomendo todos os filmes que se conectam com essa saga, pra amantes do terror é um prato cheio.

The cast does well enough with what they're given, but what they're given isn't terribly interesting or engaging. It switches between being a court drama and by the numbers conjuring film and never feels fully like either.

This movie was awful. It didn't feel like it was in the late 70's / Early 80's. The writing was beyond lazy. Contrivances everywhere. The movie is just fetch quests and conveniently, there is a quest giver when the story needs to move forward. No character development at all which means there were no stakes for me to feel invested in. This is the worst yet most commonplace example of bad movies today. Avoid this if you have an IQ above 70.

Considering the second installment to this franchise was terrible (despite the first one being good) I didn't expect much from the third. However, I was surprised at how amazing this was. It's very loosely based on a true story but they knocked it out of the park with this one. Maybe because it got a darker rating than PG-13 and they were allowed to explore the terror instead of cutting it down for a younger audience. I would recommend this.

Its a good watch and has scares and does do what it should do which is scare you however it didn't feel like a conjuring movie the first 2 were different in that sense it is good because the 3 conjuring movies are very different however the third was not as scary and the plot seamed like it was all over the place but is a decent horror movie.
