Espionage isn't just committed by spies, but by seemingly normal people! As a British businessman is recruited to serve as a courier for a Soviet informant during the Cuban missile crisis, they both start to feel the strain of keeping secrets that could endanger themselves and their loved ones. A taut thriller that manages to inspire paranoia and anticipation at the same time, its surprising that this is based on a true story!

Absolutely riveting. Benedict Cumberbatch. Lost a lot of weight for this performance and it was well worth the sacrifice. His performance, As usual, was flawless An emotionally moving at times. I highly recommend this true story Of heroism

I enjoyed the movie. I remember this happening and the questions in the parliament and the press at the time. It felt very real.

It was good. I expected more action but the story itself was interesting

Well acted, good dialogue, solid directing all amounted to I really did not care about the characters. The true story should have been more compelling but for me a bit of a slog.

As a longtime fan of espionage films, I loved this especially as it was partially taken from a true story. The movie was both exhilarating and tragic. Very well done.

Amazing movie, feels real, intimate and human yet also incredibly thrilling and big. Good acting, great set and costumes, just very well done, little to no mistakes were made while making this movie, which is rare.

Flawless, slow burn .. so refreshing to see A DAMN FINE STORYTELLING instead of the Hollywood staple diets of car chase + violence + gratuitous sex. Acting too is brilliant!

Truly stunning depiction of real events, I remember all this from my very early teens and I remember expecting to be blown off the face of the earth at any moment in those days - the fact that my father was an air defence operator in the RAF didn't help my paranoia! Wynne and Penkovsky, true heroes as well portrayed in this film 10/10

Taut true-life thriller key events of the 20C. Never dull, tense, and beautifully acted. Cumberbatch proves himself as an exceptional performer.
