Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back

Another Great movie to the star wars saga, it's even an improvement from its predecessor, with a much more dark tone than the original, and one of the most iconic plot twists of all time.

Where do I begin? This movie is definitely one of the best movies of all time. It brings back most of the characters from the original movie, is set 3 years after A New Hope, has a great plot, great cast, great characters and is just such an iconic movie overall. In this movie we get the whole package! It has one of the best lightsaber duels in Star Wars, arguably the most iconic line in cinema history and arguably the biggest plot twist of all time. This movie leaves you wanting more which the audience waited 3 years for. You are on the edge of your seat the whole team and the whole experience is fantastic. Overall, the greatest thing to come out of Star Wars and probably one of the greatest movies of all time. 5/5

One I do my all time favourite films, and the best of the Star Wars films.

🍅 10/10 Absolutely iconic and engraved in my memory one of the best films ever made in a perfect middle chapter for an absolutely great trilogy I have no negatives with this whatsoever just a true, classic nothing less. The set pieces the action the cast the music the villains the introduction to Lando and Yoda like isn't this paradise. Grade A+

The movie has a really good grasp on tension, the main characters are on the backfoot almost the entire film - even scenes with little apparent danger are often ominous. It all culminates in an even stronger climax than in the first film. The Empire Strikes Back though sets a high bar of quality for Star Wars - though not so high that the newer Star Wars projects shouldn't try to surpass it which seems to have been the mentality at Lucasfilms for a while.

The Best Movie in the Franchise, Lucas didn't direct it or write it so that's probably why. Very intense moments throughout the movie and a realization that the good guys don't always win. A++++++
