Ultimately, "The End of Us" is best seen as an opportunity well taken.

For its flaws, The End of Us is surprising evidence of how societal lockdown can create a favorable environment for inventive collaborative filmmaking.

The End of Us might aim to be a film of the times, but instead manages to be only a woefully unfunny, thoughtless, and flat-out repulsive trash fire.

"The End of Us" just sparks to life whenever it dares to take a deep breath and look beyond the endlessness of the current moment.

Through clever dialogue, the film finds at times a way of showing how we use half-truths [in relationships] to avoid confrontation.

As a rom-com-styled portrait of a failed relationship, there isn't a vaccine around that can save The End of Us.

It heartfelt, sweet and timely. It would make for a great double feature with Force Majeure.

A dumb time-capsule comedy film meant for future generations.

Of all the movies made under COVID conditions and about COVID conditions, I have to say "The End of Us" is the one that hits closest to home.

While it has a few brief moments that will undoubtedly resonate with audiences, neither the story nor the characters themselves are interesting enough to compensate for the fact that this is a film about a time that no one is eager to relive.
