The Enforcer

It’s mostly just Banderas growling, smouldering and bleeding quite a bit.

It’s thuddingly predictable stuff that limps through a plot involving nefarious sex traffickers, treachery and a liberal smearing of Miami sleaze.

Despite Banderas’ best efforts and some stylish camerawork, this is nothing like a good crime thriller.

The Enforcer stays firmly in its well-furrowed, cliché-filled lane before making itself scarce after a scant 83 minutes.

I found myself rooting for Banderas not to wreak revenge on these louts but just go home, have a cup of tea and forget the whole business.

A film that should really exist on a VHS cassette.
