The Forever Purge

A visceral rip-roarer, it plays out like Max Mad crossed with The Walking Dead - but amid the spurting jugulars and the gunsmoke, director Everardo Valerio Gout chucks in barrel-loads of idealism.

The fifth Purge outing goes for broke and comes out wanting, working neither as political commentary nor horror-action-thriller. In this case, bigger is definitely not better.

"The Purge" movies still want you to believe they stand for something, but they're just cheap window dressing on conventional genre tales, this one a race to the border. Anyone else feeling Purged out?

The Forever Purge is adept at providing the violence and gore fans expect from an exploitation flick. And, despite its pretense of offering political commentary, that's really all this movie is.

Dadly the most forgettable one yet. Cool idea, some actually really unique set pieces , & even two good leads that I could get behind, but the rest of it all? Feels very tame & not as crazy in comparison to the other films.

It’s a decently fun movie that hints towards a whole new Purge storyline in the future, but in the grand scheme of things, it isn’t anything revolutionary.

The Forever Purge is another powerfully political piece of action horror art from the hit franchise, drawing on our current social strife for its scares.
