The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard relies on racially themed humor that's mostly self aware but ultimately unfunny.

This is a well-acted, amusingly-scripted, poorly-plotted, violent, vulgar and profane bit of fun, for those who like that sort of thing.

Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard never manages to get past execrable, unable to choose between being an unimaginative and vulgar action-comedy or a limp National Lampoon-esque parody.

Here comes Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard to test your faith in all of these stars and humanity in general.

The action clumps along, mixing picturesque European locales with choppy edits and ungainly camera angles.

I never once was bothered by the movie, but I couldn't help but notice: it's kind of bad. It's just kind of a bad movie.

Despite some jokes that land, charmingly goofy editing, and even an enjoyable pun or two, the film’s writing can only be described as a classic kerfuffle.

This triple A-List acting trio is not enough to save Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard. This is one target that should have been taken out with a headshot before it got greenlit.

An expensive disappointment.

While the action-comedy sequel leans even more heavily on the absurdist humor between the three leads, it suffers from the same poor action direction and bland plotting that dragged the first film down.
