The House With a Clock in Its Walls

I don't get the hatred around this film. There are things wrong with it like some acting and poop jokes. But next to that you have amazing visuals. The film has scary and exciting moments that may get a scare out of some children. Not a great comedy, but an amazing children horror.

The House with a Clock in Its Walls tries to blend fantasy, adventure, and horror elements, but the end result feels muddled and lacking in coherence. Despite the talented cast, including Jack Black and Cate Blanchett, the film fails to fully engage the audience and falls short of its potential. It's a disappointing entry in the genre that doesn't quite hit the mark.

I like the look of The House with a Clock in Its Walls. The story, however, is lacking. The whole time I was watching this movie, I felt like I was missing something. It's as if I had to read the book on which this film was based to fully understand and appreciate what is going on. For example, I really liked Cate Blanchett's character, but she only appears every now & then to share some playful insults with Jack Black's character and then she disappears. Maybe I will have to read the book, because I wanted more out of this movie and I just didn't get it. It does have a fun Halloween vibe, though.

Such a predictable, bland movie. The cast of characters is decent enough, but the story is so weak that this comes acoss as a bunch of ideas thrown around to make this movie without anything pulling it all together.

Could've Been Better, But It's Not A Disaster

No one can act so therefore. Or rather, no one cares.

Funny, suspenseful, over all good movie

Love jack black. Love cate blanchett. But the story is a far too simple for them - they too good for it I think. but that 10 year old kid is a weird fella. And i don't mean the character he's supposed to play, I mean how he tries so badly to act so intensely and it's so intensely bad. He's absurd, I skipped all his stuff. Something seems real off about that kid to me.

This movie is fun and weird all at the same time! It's a must see!!

Bastante agradable, lo suficiente para pasar el rato y no mucho mas. La historia medio floja y el humor estuvo hasta ahí nomas pero igual se disfruta.
