a massive massive fave, one of the best. The only problem is i guess i can't quite understand the foreign language in the film. I am not sure if there is one with English subtitles though.

Extreme deeply touching Horror Drama between strangely connected kids in a norwegian housing block settlement. The childish minds are completely overwhelmed by their situation of having metaphysical powers at their disposal and thus fall into a maelstrom of violence that no one but themselves can stop... I haven't seen a horror movie in a long time that has found such a unique approach to the genre since "Funny Games".

Nice idea but, toooo much Kids for a shoking movie.

Slower paced eerie horror whose dynamics are not dynamic enough despite a message worth considering.

A very intriguing fantasy/mystery/supernatural thriller. Its slow building story evolves at just the right pace for its mystery to grow with it. What we understand of the characters evolves with each event, and the eeriness and suspense build as we see the links form and strengthen between them. This has moments of true horror about it, but it always holds itself at the psychological, supernatural thriller threshold which I think gives it more gravitas - the levels of horror it could have delivered upon within the confines of the story would have cheapened the thrill and the mystery. The young cast are absolutely brilliant! I will definitely be keeping a keen eye on more from Eskil Vogt

Cat lovers avoid…… A very quiet but cruel movie. The cruelty starts with childhood meanness from one girl to her sister in the family car ……probably something we've all overstepped the mark with as young children. Then the rest starts. The European Shining but purely focused on the children. Not the overlook hotel but housing commission. It is so open looking but has a massive feel of claustrophobia. Completely unenjoyable and I loved it.

This movie was so well done. Sophisticated horror without being too cerebral. And, the BEST child actors I've seen in a while. They were superb!

It's exceedingly painful and boring to watch. Never seen such a bland and stupid film with that high rating.

I found the movie understated yet completely engrossing. The child acting is fantastic, so the direction gets much credit. The pace is quiet and relaxed. Intense acts happen the same way normal events do. It shows the range of emotions of children played out with supernatural powers. I would put it in the category of Chronicle, but on a very small scale. Perhaps a child version of Blue Velvet. [Very vague spoilers used as a warning.] If you are a person who barely notices or cares when people of small or large numbers are slaughtered but has a fit when an animal is hurt, this movie is not for you. If you only focus on violence and not all the other acts in a story, this is not for you.

Not poorly written, just disturbing in an un-fun way. If you like cats and children, you probably will not enjoy this.
