I enjoyed the movie. The juxtaposition of the historic horror of the wall with the current natural beauty, overgrowth, and expanding development on the Eastern side. I like that reminders remain along the walls trail. What feels and seems like so long ago really wasn't that long ago. Maybe this movie has special relevance for me since my mother escaped East Germany early on. Before the wall existed. But the wall between people kept my two families apart. The actual wall that separated Berlin and the political wall that separated Germany. My German family and my American family. East and West.
