E ainda me emocionei em alguns momentos no final... Lindo lindo...

I was looking forward to watching Pete's big role at the movies before Covid ruined it. I paid to watch it on TV and at 1st I wasn't sure I loved it, I only liked it . But, now I have rewatched it several times and I love it. Who knew it would be a movie you can watch over and over . This made me become a Bill Burr fan. Heart and comedy . Pate if he doesn't get in his own way has a huge career ahead of him in film. He is so natural and just shines on film. Lorne knows he is a star. He sees tye magic.

Despite ambling about aimlessly, much like its lead character, over the first half of the movie, Judd Apatow's The King of Staten Island comes together nicely over the last hour, the end result being a surprisingly insightful and humorous look at coming to terms with the reality of adulthood and the importance of personal responsibility. Pete Davidson plays Scott Carlin, an unemployed man-child who spends his days smoking weed, playing video games, and hanging out with his equally directionless friends, much to the chagrin of his mother (Marisa Tomei) and her boyfriend (Bill Burr). It's well-written, well-acted and, in general, feels real and relatable, but one has to wonder why so many of Apatow's movies feel about 30 minutes too long. Clocking in at 137 minutes, you can't help but think it would have been more impactful if some of the extra baggage from the first hour had simply been cut.
