To be honest I don't mind childhood characters being turned into horror characters this was very good in my opinion

The Mean One is a horror comedy that is a parody of the novel by Dr Seuss. the movie is very nice, simple and entertainment especially for the Christmas holidays. David howard Thornton gives The Mean One a masterful interpretation.

I love Christmas horror flix. Love them, and this was fun to watch, but needs some perspective. Clearly this movie had a budget of about $5 to work with. In those situations, this is about as good a movie as one can expect. I'll start with the good. Whoever played The Mean One, absolutely killed it. Fantastic acting. He had the mannerisms, the looks, the walks, everything. Smashing job. The makeup and costume for the character, were also extremely well done. They put a ton of effort into bringing this monster to life. The script was actually pretty solid, although I wouldn't go so far as to call it good. Now for the rest. The locations were all bad choices. They clearly were not in a mountain town of any sort. There are tons of them in the U.S. that could have provided much better backdrop. They clearly didn't film the movie in December. Continuity was poorly tracked. Cinematography was terrible. The acting was... I don't think there is a word to describe the acting. The movie feels like a student film from start to finish. If it was a student film, I give them props for what they accomplished, but how on earth was this ever in theaters?

#moviereview #themeanone So this will be a spoiler review, so if you don't want to know anything do not read this This movie is absolutely horrible, it follows the whole rhyming scheme just like the Dr. Seuss book The main character Cindy Lou, is a terrible actress. One of the main characters was Dr. Zeus. Pretty much all of the acting in this movie was horrible, the cinematography was bad, anytime somebody got cut open or bled it look like fake blood being splattered, there was no actual blood it was like cartoon blood The grinch was never mentioned by name because of copyright infringement they would get sued so they just called him the main one, and the guy who played art the clown in Terrifier two is the one who plays the grinch after he kills Cindy's mom and dad at the end of the movie she has the opportunity to kill him but instead she decides to kiss him, and then his heart grows three sizes too big and explodes This movie is horrible, terrible, absolutely a waste of your time and money

The Mean One was an interesting watch. I found the premise kind of cool, as it offered a twist on a classic story using parody rules. Like many parody films, it was super small-scale, mostly poorly acted, yet oddly entertaining. The standout of the film was David Howard Thornton as 'the mean one,' delivering a fantastic performance through body language and facial expressions. Everything else in the film screamed low budget, with awkwardly charming moments unfolding on screen. It's far from perfect and not even particularly good, but I wouldn't label it as just a bad movie. It's a watchable, entertainingly bad film.

Absolutely loved the horror adaptation of The Girinch even the little mannerisms that reminded me Jim Carey made it even better.
