The Pale Door

This was quite enjoyable a really original concept. With a bigger budget could be better. Well I liked it

I enjoy westerns and horror films but horror westerns just don't do anything for me. Too much fear and crying, and the replacement of western grit with horror mystery just... does not compute. Does not compute! DOES NOT COMPUTE!

After a failed train robbery, a gang of outlaws must survive the night in a ghost town inhabited by a coven of witches. "The Pale Door" is a tedious horror western with no substance to offer beyond its entertaining second half: a fight between witches and cowboys.

The Pale Door is a wildly entertaining combination of great practical effects and an outstanding cast that is sure to please any horror fan.

What an awful movie. It makes you really appreciate good movies because it shows you how terrible movies can be. I wanted to rip my eyes out and my ears off my face the entire time. Sometimes I wonder with my movie picks, am I a masochist? The accents were all over the place, one of the characters attempted a cajun accent, I think, but he came out sounding like a medieval grape nut. you can tell they spent their entire budget on the single fight scene involving all the witches. The other half of their budget went to special effects like making a man bust into a bunch of crows. Should've spent more money on the writing instead.

There are fun elements and serious heartfelt moments. But it all feels pretty unbalanced, so ends up coming off corny and stupid.

For the budget I truly enjoyed this film. Yes it was campy but the witches looked pretty cool along with the western them.

Dull, cheap looking and uninvolving horror Western that never settles properly into either camp.

A western/horror? Interesting premise that turns into "From Dusk Till Dawn" then just stops. I've seen worse recently ("Goat", pointless, half a star), so "Pale Door" gets a whole star, mainly for utilizing one tree to make a forest. Nice budgeting!
