The Prey: Legend of Karnoctus is not here to rewrite movie history, but it does a solid work blending Horror and Action into a claustrophobic nightmare filled with blood and gore to keep you entertained for about ninety plus minutes.

The Prey: Legend of Karnoctus doesn’t exactly reinvent the wheel when it comes to updating monster movies of its kind and the ending does feel rather rushed.

The Prey: Legend of Karnoctus has a few issues here and there, but overall, it’s a fun watch for those willing to go along for the ride.

The movie’s spectacularly goofy plot and low production values are counterbalanced by surprising chemistry between its principal cast, some tense situations, and an endearingly silly monster.

The film scores enough points on the choice of location and the overall production design. Right from the get go you are fully situated and immersed in the dry and brown earthy nature of Afghanistan.

A a lightweight mashup of combat film, heist picture and creature feature...a C-movie that wants to embrace the campy cheese, but never gets closer than arm’s length.
