The only horror about this film was that someone actually created it

Its like a direct rip off of The Omen but it has promising jump scares worth the watch

I really liked it. Don't read into the bad reviews. Kept me guessing

While it doesn’t go as far as it could’ve, The Prodigy has an interesting concept, great acting and even some dark humor that make for an unexpected gem.

The less playing the mother is exceptionally good. This made me nauseous. Yes in India and poorer parts of the globe there's a lot of stories about reincarnation because well they want money and tend to make things up as you later find. Yet because of the convincing performances, even from the dad who barely gets involved, you can see why this impressed as far as some people stated. People are harder to please and stay loyal to the likes of zombie land and Shaun of the dead over which were awful as opposed to this film. For a supernatural horror this was convincing, realistic and disturbing. So much so it's hard to find a good horror these days. There's no undue excess, no ridiculous campy acting, no spoilt little rich American girls with loads of make up, it's not predictable it's not weak, the dialogue is better than it usually would be with modern day movies or cheap remakes and the reviews are certainly very harsh.

A boy imbued with the soul of a serial killer causes a stir. The horror is more complex than usual because you want the boy to overcome his other personality. The psychology and the choices are well played and believable. The monsters are not obvious. Low budget film which is quite successful.

Very bland and uncreative. Adds nothing new that we haven't seen done before or done very well. The ending is a total cop out too. If you want to see a good Horror/Thriller I suggest looking elsewhere.
