Like the original gold rush. As a sailor, with Alaskan family, this is as crazy as it gets. Humor tempered with danger, risk, adventure and real beauty.

Even if you know nothing about boats or don't like documentaries, you will enjoy this movie. It's really a story about the people who, some experienced, some naive, find themselves in the middle of a wet, lonely and dangerous wilderness and wonder what they are doing there. The determination, adaptability and especially the humor these folks display is uplifting and heartening. Besides, the scenery is spectacular and beautifully photographed.

Awesome movie about one of the craziest adventure ideas and about the incredible klpeople who attempt, and some complete, the race...

Such an amazing documentary. The filmmakers have done an incredible job of taking footage from 5 years and hundreds of teams and telling myriad stories in a beautiful, linear way. The Inside Passage is the star of the show, as it should be, but the breadth of humanity is on full display through the wildly diverse teams. I've seen this probably 5 times at this point, and am looking forward to the next viewing. Disclaimer: I did the Race to Alaska and think it, and the people involved, are the coolest.

Beautiful imagery and an amazing look into a race I would be terrified to go on myself. Nice to have a cozier view from my screen.

Fantastic! This film puts you in the captain's seat as you sail, paddle, or row your way 750 miles from Washington to Alaska. It's a surprisingly humorous story of those who brave the treacherous, frigid waters, and come out changed on the other side.

This sold out the Nelson Civic Theatre for the first time since Star Wars in 2019. And with good reason. Stunning scenery. Human perseverance. Comedy. Danger. Intrigue.
