Having just read the book was delighted to see they had made a film and was keen to see it as I thought the book would make a great film. All the director/scriptwriter had to do was follow the book but they seemed to know better and utterly destroyed the entertaining narrative flow of the Matt Haig´s work. I rented it on Prime and turned it off half way through utter disappointment.

Started well and fizzled into plain daftnaffness. I read the book, which was great, but this film isn’t even a pale comparison. A sad, sad affair

It's the story of a struggling family, all with the undertone that they are vampires. They've chosen a life of abstaining from blood, but things start to fall apart when the girl gets assaulted.

good idea but poorly written, what waste of a great cast

An enjoyable movie with a great cast. A fresh take on the vampire story.

Wouldn't recommend. Very boring. The best vampire movie we got this year so far was Abigail

No new ideas on the very worn theme of vampires.

I cannot believe I actually watched all of it. For such a good cast, this was beyond disappointing. So much so I have never felt the need or want to add a review before, until now.
