The Rookies

This is one of those blind buys where the cover art is kind of deceptive. The cover is of the stunning Milla Jovovich, but no mention that she is basically using the Bruce Willis approach where she's a glorified cameo in a Chinese action comedy. That threw me off of the whole thing. There's some good action, the story is kind of weird and quirky. I might like it better next time around.

Extrem schlechter China-Schrott, dessen Humor keiner lustig findet und dessen special Effects aussehen wie in Hollywood vor 10 Jahren. Reine Geldverschwendung. Extremely bad China junk, whose humor nobody finds funny and whose special effects look like in Hollywood 10 years ago. A waste of money.

The Rookies is a Chinese film that parodies spy action movies. Milla Jovovich kicks ass in the film, but she has a supporting role. The movie is so goofy, and the dubbed English is not great as usual, but it had some really funny scenes that had me laughing hard. The action is top-notch, and I actually wouldn't mind seeing it again.
